Argentina Style C Two- sheet La Guerra de las Galaxias original poster
This rare poster is the two-sheet poster, printed in Argentina, contains the full landscape layout of the traditional style "C" illustration by Thomas Chantrell.
On the left-hand side, the art contains the action montage with the space cosmos background. The main cast members are holding and firing weapons, and Darth Vader is in the background clenching his drawn red lightsaber. Luke Skywalker is front and center pointing a laser pistol at the viewer, and multiple X-wings are racing around the composition. With an explosion on the right, the Death Star looms towards the left edge of the layout. A smaller C-3PO, R2-D2, and Chewbacca are tucked in underneath Leia, and the faces of Grand Moff Tarkin and Obi-wan Kenobi are floating on the left. On the right, at the top is the tagline, "Hace mucho tiempo, en una galaxia muy lejana..." (Long ago, in a galaxy far away ...).
It is printed with a semi-transparent highlighter effect on it. Below the tagline is the Star Wars / La guerra de las galaxias logo, printed in the famous pyramid shape layout. The cast and credits billing block are in the right-hand lower corner and it has the Bonda Sonora Original en Discos y Cintas 20th Century Records box, Technicolor, Panavision, and 20th Century Fox emblems, along with the copyright information found at the bottom. 'INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA' is also printed on the left-hand side in the small white border.
The poster has been canvassed and framed.
