Greedo Original Mask from Star Wars Cantina

The first time we meet the rhodan Greedo, it's in the Cantina at Mos Eisley spaceport. In this wretched hive of scum and villainy, he is looking for Han Solo. Jabba the Hutt have put a price to find him. And Greedo, as a good bounty-hunter, takes no longer to find his trace.
However, he will be not fast enough to avoid the blaster shot of Han.
This character is very famous for the fans. And it’s due to two facts: the way that he dies and his particular design. Stuart Freeborn was very involved in the process of creation of this creature as for most of the cantina’s customers.

The eyes are not screen used. The original ones have been lost before the acquisition of the Archives.
The eyes shown on the pics have been made with original elements from the Stuart Freeborn’s overstock. Different kind of eyes can be spot in the movie for Greedo.

The mask was filled with some kind of foam during the production (especially to be used during the scene of the Greedo’s death). In a way it has preserved the mask (this process made it a little less fragile and it was not re-used during the production of Return of the Jedi).
