Star Wars Classic Arcade Game is a first person space adventure, in which players pilot an X-Wing Fighter, battling enemy TIE Fighters in a simulation of the attack on the Death Star from the final act of Star Wars : Episode IV A New Hope.

The game is composed of 3D color vector graphics and controlled by a yoke similar to a steering wheel. The player’s ultimate goal is to destroy the Death Star through three attack phases. Unlike other video games of its like, the player does not have to kill every enemy to advance.
