Original Twiki's suit

In 1987, Buck Rogers is leaving the earth to explore the confines of the solar system. His spaceship is victim of a wreck which accidentally placed him in hibernation. Buck regains consciousness in the 25th Century and discovers when he return to Earth that things have changed…

In order to help him rehabilitate, the authorities put at his disposal two wonderful creations that have influenced generation of viewers: Twiki the robot and his tiny sidekick Dr. Theopolis.

Twiki is a 'drone' in the service of Theo. Both machines are in symbiosis. Twiki mostly just belch his famous "Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi" and Theo is talking.

Theo is a ‘Quad’. More than just a machine, its a sensitive and has a remarkable intellect. Pure spirit without body, it's Twiki which moves him around. When Theo speaks, circuit boards lit up like a Christmas tree, a very effective visual effect which has done much for the popularity of the duo.

A handful of Twiki costume were made for the series. Worn by Felix Silla (3 feet and 11 inched), this rare sample has required extensive restoration. Only two Dr Theo were created. This is the only known sample. It lacks only the orignal thong (and its attachments) by which Twiki carries it around his neck.
