Ridley Scott

Ridley Scott became with a very few movies one of the best director of Hollywood. And it’s with his Science-fiction production that he has shown all of his talent. His style which comes from the TV brought a new fresh way in SF genre. At the end of the 70’s, Alien launches definitely the career of Ridley.

Extremely demanding, he involves himself in all the process of creation. Very often he is the producer of the movies that he directs (he is the executive producer for Blade Runner but not credited). He is always very close to the art department and he exactly knows which person can be a veritable asset for the design (Syd Mead, Ron Cobb, Charles Knode…). Sometimes for the production crew it can be very rough to work with him but it’s always to keep the movie on the right track.

Ridley Scott directed in his entire career few movies (only 18), but some of them are like milestone in the cinema history. It’s quite strange but today he has a lot of projects in development. The Alien prequel is by far the most anticipated by the SF fans. Everyone interested in this project hope that he will success in this difficult exercise.
