We are in the early 23rd Century. Earth, having survived a few accidents of the nuclear age, is unified into a United Federation of Planets, where there is peace and democracy. The flagship of its fleet is the space ship the USS Enterprise, a ship with a mission of exploration of 5 years, during which its crew will go to the final frontier, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before. The spaceship is commanded by Captain James T. Kirk, assisted by his first officer, a Vulcan named Mr. Spock, and a medical officer, Dr. Leonard H. "Bones" McCoy
