AND MAN CREATED… ROBOTS
From the old dream of automaton to surgical robots, through androids, artificial beings and movie robots, all their secrets reveal in the exhibition And Man... Created Robot at Museum of Arts et Métiers.
ScienceFictionArchives.com is part of the Arts et Métiers museum exhibition And Man... Created Robot by lending all the robots coming from Sci-Fi movies, that are presented.
Where the robots come from? What are they? What is the future of robotics? This exhibition of 550 square meters, is an inventory of robotics of today, and will tell the stories stories between man and machine. Both mirror and extension of man, the robot is often perceived ambiguously between attraction and repulsion... However, always eager to imitate or recreate the living, we will explain how man has worked for centuries to create "automatic machines" and substitutes itself.
ScienceFictionArchives.com presents in this exhibition some of his iconic Science Fiction movie robots like Robotrix from Metropolis, an original NS-5 robot from i, Robot, a T-800 from Terminator 2 : Judgment Day, C-3PO, the protocol droid from Star Wars, and one of of the highlights from ScienceFictionArchives.com collection, an original R2-D2 from the movie Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.
