SCIENCE AND FICTION

‘Science (and) Fiction : Imagination Meets Reality’ the exhibition presented at La Cité des Sciences Museum from October 2010 to July 2011 moves to the city of Lille. Organized during the lille3000 Fantastic event, this new exhibition - simply titled 'Science and Fiction' - held at Maison Folie Wazemmes, located only four Metro stations from Lille city center.

Dive again into the world of Science Fiction with original objects and movie memorabilia fromScienceFictionArchives.com collection, used during the making of famous Sci-Fi movies: spaceships models, robots, alien masks ,spacesuits and costumes, excerpts from films, books, comics, manga, games and animated films.

The content of this new exhibition is always the result of collaboration of ScienceFictionArchives.com with Cité des Sciences Museum, but also the company Ankama , which offers inthe third floors of a journey into it's magical world. To adapt to this new exhibition space, ScienceFictionArchives.com changed its selection of new objects presented, compared to the 2010 exhibition in Paris.

Science & Fiction exhibition offers to travel through time, to the beginnings of science fiction to the most modern inventions of modern science to show how fiction and science are mutually nurtured.

The exhibition explores successively four main themes: space exploration, the exploration of other societies, exploration of time and the exploration of a Transmedia universe.

Each section of the exhibition has its own atmosphere: lunar base sets, projected images, robots of all kinds of video games ... A playful journey that explores the major issues raised by the Science Fiction works about Man and the future of our societies through objects of famous movies.

An exhibition organized by the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie Museum in association with ScienceFictionArchives.com and Ankama through Fantastic, lille3000 event. A Coproduction Lille3000, City of Lille, Maison Folie Wazemmes and Ankama, with the sponsorship of bank, Caisse d'Epargne Northern France.
