Dr. Heywood Floyd (Roy Scheider) Original Hibernation Suit
In 2010 : The Year We Make Contact, the stunning sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Heywood Floyd (Roy Scheider) helms a joint U.S.-Soviet mission of scientists trying to rendezvous with the abandoned Discovery One spacecraft, reactivate the homicidal computer HAL-9000 and finally learn the truth. Director Peter Hyams's tense epic, set with Earth on the brink of nuclear war. This original costume was worn on screen by actor Roy Scheider as "Dr. Heywood R. Floyd" travel into deep space in hibernation, on board the Alexei Leonov vessel. The one piece jumpsuit has a black elastic webbing attached to the entire suit and orange piping extending from the lower back to the arms and legs. The costume also has a name tag with "Floyd" on the left chest. The costume also has a Metro Goldwyn Mayer label in the collar with "Roy Scheider" written on it. The costume of this movie were designed by Patricia Norris (Capricorn One, Victor/Victoria, Scareface...).
