This intricately detailed Tom Cruise costume with a jetpack, was designed to be used by the officers of the futuristic “Pre-Crime Unit” to apprehend per- petrators before they actually committed the crime (usually homicide). Worn by the officers to maneuver aerially around the city, they were used most effectively in the chase seen where Tom Cruise is cornered by his former colleagues. The pack has a metal frame and waist belt, and features a custom-made fiberglass shell painted steel blue, with four jet nozzles protruding out from the inner fuel supply.
