Concept sketches by Tom Jung in graphite, paper measuring approximately 12 x 14 in. Jung remarked on this sketch: "I was sent to Mexico City early during production of the film to check out the sets and was told that Universal Pictures Vice President had a firm policy of not using illustrations for ad campaigns. Ultimately my concepts were the basis of the final ad campaign and were photographically composed. I had no idea what the sand worm looked like and relied entirely on the description in the script".
