Sally Gordon-Mark
French-American Sally Gordon-Mark was born in New York City and in her teens performed semi-professionally as a singer and dancer, receiving a gold record for her hit song Popsicles and Icicles, at the age of 17, while part of the group, The Murmaids. College prepared her for a career as a music teacher, which she still does today - privately and at the British School of Paris - in addition to writing, editing and historical research. Her most notable research project was for the recent biography, Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco Chanel's Secret War, finding documents never published before. Sally, president of the association, Les Grands Baladins de Saint-Germain, has also organized music concerts of well-known Baroque musicians and plays the harpsichord herself.
Before coming to live in France, Sally was a studio singer until her experience and interests secured her positions at Warner Bros. Records as Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, as a free-lance script typist and editor for Francis Coppola, and at Lucasfilm Ltd. as Coordinator of Special Events, in charge of promotions and public relations. At Lucasfilm, her projects included co-adaptation of the script and production assistance for the Grammy-winning LP, Raiders of the Lost Ark : The Movie on Record, and four scripts for the Droids television series. She is currently writing the authorized biography of film producer Robert Watts.
